Hi, I'm Elisabeth.
Are you looking for a research-minded creative who is passionate about amplifying your message through strategic content, partnerships, and experiences? Hey, that's me!
You'll find me at the intersection of research and storytelling. I've spent 15 years connecting data, ideas, and people; creating and curating engaging content, and helping creative brands grow.
I co-founded YOU + ME*, a boutique branding and strategy agency for creative professionals. Beginning in 2009, we worked with brands big and small to distill their essence and make their stories come alive online, in print, and in real life. From content strategy to website analytics, stop-motion videos to pop-up galleries, we did it all.
By 2010, we had built Equals, an online publishing platform for a diverse community of 200+ contributors, including many who have since gone on to become bestselling authors and award-winning bloggers. After executing a successful crowdfunding campaign, we released a print anthology, which included essays by talented writers such as Erin Loechner (founder of the critically-lauded Design for Mankind), Erin Boyle (bestselling author), and Nina Sovich (author and Wall Street Journal reporter), as well as an interview with Cheryl Strayed by Randon Billings Noble.
In my former life, I spent nearly a decade conducting research as a graduate student at Stanford and Columbia and as an analyst at SRI, a think tank in Palo Alto. I've built multi-level models with large-scale data sets, traveled the country to conduct in-depth interviews for national qualitative research studies, and analyzed political messaging and policy outcomes at the city, state, and federal levels. My work has been published by the Brookings Institution and academic journals, among others. Because of my background, I think in terms of answerable questions and view the world through both creative and analytic lenses.
I live in San Francisco with my husband and three children. You can see the latest venture of our 6 and 8-year-old here (the 3-year-old is still exploring her passion).
Want to grab coffee? Great, me too!
